The Fairwind II visits one of my, Snorkel Bob's, favorite reefs in Hawaii, Kealakekua Bay (Captain Cook’s—what a guy). The deluxe 4-1/2 hour lunch cruise departs Keauhou Harbor with a tropical breakfast and 2-1/2 hours of snorkeling. Then it’s BBQ on-board and a no host bar. This is the only boat permitted to moor at Kealakekua, so the reef is less abused than a troubled teen from Hollywood High. The reef is prolific with my, SB's, little bitty fish buddies, who are sure to be your friends too, given 1/2 a chance. You can snorkel to the monument and hit the terra firma for a bit of sun. The 60’ cat has EZ water access, fresh water showers, a 15-foot water slide, a high-dive platform and ample shade. *CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS: Kealakekua AM trips require a minimum 24 hour advance booking: disembarkment & transport is too late for 9AM trip departure from Keauhou Harbor. Call Snorkel Bob's Kona stores for advance reservations between 8AM-5PM Hawaii time the day before. Ask about afternoon trip options if AM Captain Cook's is unavailable.
