Snorkel Bob was born on Maui a long time ago. He first snorkeled at the amazing age of four, and he says now that he knew even then, "I wanted to snorkel again. I still can't get enough."
Snorkeling through his formative and teen years was seen by some as a hobby, a phase young Bob would outgrow in time. But when he chose to forego all other sports and eventually skipped the Senior Prom itself because of excellent conditions for a night snorkel at La Perouse Bay (advanced), his parents and teachers feared an obsession. They hired Dr. Ernst "Ernie" Fischimull, a famous shrink.   
By then a grown man, Bob told the doctor, " I want to bring snorkeling to the people"
Dr. Fischimull said, "So. You want to Snorkel Bob?" And a legend, and a career began. The doctor told anxious family and friends to relax. "Snorkel Bob cares," he said. "That's all. And frankly, I don't see how anyone can pass up this kind of savings, this kind of convenience, this kind of fun. I mean, really".
